Tired of the same old Chevy, Toyota and Ford donning their cowboy hats and redneck shirts? Let’s add some ‘extras’ to NASCAR.

Kinja'd!!!

DISCLAIMER!

All of these cars follow the price/production rule. It would still be cool if these cars were in NASCAR.

!!! UNKNOWN HEADER TYPE (MULTI-LINE BREAK?) !!!

Lamborghini

Roaring. Breathing. Living. Everything Lamborghini is not ( Or maybe is, I’ve never driven a Lambo ). But exciting? Ohhh, yes.

Aventador

Kinja'd!!!

Whatever you want it in, paint it that color and throw it round the track. Bye bye, Taurus!

Huracán

Kinja'd!!!

Oh god yes. Mmmmmmmm.

I just can’t wait to see a Huracán ramp a Cruze into the air.

Mercedes

Luxury parts? Bye-bye. It’s called weight reduction, ma!

AMG GT-S

Kinja'd!!!

It looks great, donit?

Nissan

Japan meets America, redneck edition.

GT-R

Kinja'd!!!

Fun. Especially with 1150 horsepower.

Juke R

Kinja'd!!!

Because screw logic! Science, bitch!

Pagani

The Italians know how to have fun. So why don’t we bring the party to the boring and make boring a little bit less?

Huayra

Kinja'd!!!

Imagine getting one from Pagani.

“C’mon, man, wher’s yur gud speerit?”

Tesla

Limited range, unlimited fun.

Model S

Kinja'd!!!

Heavy, but probably faster than a Fusion.

Watching all of these cars race at mediocre speeds not touching each other would be very boring. NASCAR still has high speeds and contact.

Make it more exciting by returning to the days of running production looking cars and engines. All the cars look damn near identical when the graphics are removed

I didn’t say anything about slow speeds and no contact.

So are you saying these should be tube chassis smashable cars like the current ones? How is that different?

My question: What benefit does it have for any of those manufacturers? Do any of them need to go racing, and if so is NASCAR the best fit for their style of vehicle?

Reminds of when TG did a bit about the history of British Touring Car Championship. That is how all race series should be based

My two steps to fix NASCAR-

1) Run half of the races at road courses, half at ovals

2) Homologate the cars

Doesn’t matter if the racing series “needs” them (which is only your opinion, anyways), if a manufacturer’s ideals don’t fit in a particular racing series then why should they join that series if it doesn’t benefit them?
